10 Feb Children’s Mental Health Week
To celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week, we have been promoting this year’s theme: Find Your Brave.
Life is all about taking small brave steps each day. Sometimes children hear the word ‘brave’ and think that they are about to face a scary or daunting tasks, but bravery could be as little as sharing something you’re worried about, asking for help when you need it, trying something new or making the right choices.
Earlier this week, the children had an assembly on Mental Health Awareness and bravery—they shared ideas about what bravery means to them and discussed how it makes them feel. This was a really good opportunity for the children to listen to the opinions of others within our school community.
This weekend, encourage your children to be brave and talk to them about how this makes them feel.
