Many of our children join St John and St James’ in the Nursery, aged three. A place in the Nursery does not guarantee a place in the main school but children meeting the Local authority’s entry requirements will move on to Reception where they will be joined by children new to the school. St John and St James’ is governed by Hackney’s admission procedures. Full details of the admissions criteria and a copy of the admission form for Reception are available on the Learning Trust website.
Please see the links below for the Admission Arrangements for the current school year 2018-19:
Reception class admission arrangements
The Hackney Learning Trust are responsible for setting the admission arrangements for all schools for which they are the Admission Authority – that is, community and voluntary controlled schools in the borough.
For voluntary-aided schools, academies, foundation schools or free schools each school governing body or Academy Trust is their own admission authority.
