Secondary School Links
We work in partnership with our local secondary schools. Our older pupils often visit local schools and their teachers visit our school for specialist lessons.
As part of our curriculum, we aim to develop children’s awareness of global issues. From time to time, children make links with schools and communities in different parts of the world.
Links With Parents & Families
We encourage strong links between the school and home as we understand the importance of working together. We encourage parents and carers to speak to the class teacher about any issues. We send home and annual report to parents and there are a number of formal opportunities for parents to meet class teachers throughout the year.
We know that the most successful education takes place when parents/carers, staff and governors all work together. Parents and carers can be involved with the whole school community in a variety of ways:
- Parent Teacher Association
- Helping with visits & in class*
- Supporting with fund raising events
- Attending curriculum evenings
*Any adult working in our school will need to complete the appropriate police checks.
The school communicates in a variety of ways including:
- Weekly newsletters
- Online information
- Texting service
