Year 3 Trip: Art in Nature
On Thursday morning, Year 3 visited the Lee Valley Waterworks Centre to explore the different materials that they could find in a natural environment. They used these materials to create pieces of artwork, including mud pictures, clay sculptures and leaf bookmarks. Throughout the entire process, the children used natural resources like mud, sticks, leaves, plants and rocks.
“My favourite part of the trip was making the clay sculpture; it was very messy, but thankfully it was easy to mould.” – Ellie, Year 3.
