We are looking forward to our annual Christmas Lunch. A huge thankyou to the PTA for providing Christmas crackers for every child. Children are encouraged to wear festive clothing to help make the day feel even more special.
Wednesday 17th December – Christmas Performance & Parties
Our school Christmas performance will take place at the church at 9:15am. Later in the day, we also have:
– EYFS and KS1 will enjoy their Christmas class parties (with the possibility of a very special visitor!).
– KS2 children will have their Christmas discos in the school hall. Children in Years 3–6 may bring party clothes in a bag and will be given time to get changed. Please ensure there are no high heels, crop tops, or make-up. Children are invited to bring £1 for snacks, which should be handed into the office by Friday 12th December to allow time for purchasing.
Thursday 18th December – Last Day of Term
A reminder that this is our final day of term and school will finish at 12pm for all children.
This week, our wonderful RRS Ambassadors hosted our annual Elderly Christmas Lunch, which was such a lovely, warm and festive afternoon.
The children ensured everyone was fed and well looked after. They played Christmas songs and also spoke with the adults to get to know them a little better.
We want to say a huge thank you to the Kitchen staff for the incredible meal they cooked. Miss Begum, Miss Rees and Miss Khaleel, thank you for setting up the room with the incredible decorations. Miss N Lawrence and Miss B Lawrence, thank you for buying all the essentials ingredients needed to make an incredible lunch.
Finally, well done to the RRS Ambassadors for being outstanding role models on how we can connect with our community!
We hope to have another successful outcome next year!
Safeguarding Reminder
A gentle reminder that all parents and carers should remain in the playground during pick-up times and not enter the school building. This is an important part of our safeguarding procedures and helps us keep all children safe.
If you would like to speak with your child’s teacher, please feel free to ask them for a quick chat outside, or alternatively, you can book an appointment through the school office. We are always happy to help and want to make sure communication remains open while keeping everyone safe.

NSPCC Christmas Jumper Day
A huge well done and thank you to all the children who took part in Christmas Jumper Day yesterday. It was wonderful to see the school filled with so many bright, festive and creative jumpers; everyone looked fantastic! Most importantly, it was all in support of a truly worthy cause.
We are delighted to share that, we raised £97.00, every penny of which will be donated to the NSPCC to support the incredible work they do for children and families across the country.
Thank you once again for your kindness, enthusiasm and generosity.
Last Friday, after school, we had our third Christmas Fayre and, wow, what a lovely evening it was! We would like to thank our wonderful PTA for organising yet another magical Christmas Fayre – their hard work, creativity and dedication shone through in every detail, and it truly made the event something special.
The children were full of excitement, the adults had a fantastic time, and the staff loved every moment too! It was one of those occasions that reminds us how lucky we are to belong to such a warm, supportive school community. Events like this bring people together in the most joyful way, especially during this festive season.
We are also thrilled to share that the Fayre raised an incredible £2,130 for the school – an amazing achievement made possible entirely by your generosity and support.
The raffle was drawn during assembly on Monday, and all winners have now been contacted. We send our congratulations to each of them!
Once again, a huge and heartfelt thank you to our PTA and to every family, friend, and member of staff who helped, donated, attended, or simply joined in the festive spirit. You made this year’s Christmas Fayre truly unforgettable.

Thank you to all the parents, carers, children and their younger and older siblings, who joined us for the Christmas Fayre on Friday 5 December. Your energy, smiles and festive spirit made the afternoon truly special.
A big thank you as well to our wonderful school staff for helping out on the day and creating such a fun, welcoming atmosphere. And of course, an enormous shout-out to the many volunteers who gave their time, ideas and hard work. We simply couldn’t have done it without you. You made the day a huge success!

Where the Funds Will Go
Every pound raised will go directly towards supporting our children: contributing to the exciting End of Year Trip in 2026, enhancing their experience through events and workshops throughout the year, and improving equipment and resources around the school grounds.
PTA fundraising truly makes a difference.
This year is the first time the school and PTA have set out clear, costed priorities from the start, allowing us to be fully transparent about what we are raising for and to track our progress. We will continue to keep our community updated so everyone can see exactly how your support benefits the children.

As the colder winter weather has now arrived, we kindly ask all parents and carers to ensure children come to school dressed appropriately for the conditions. Please make sure your child has a warm coat, scarf, gloves, hat, and any other items needed to keep them comfortable during outdoor play and travel to and from school.

As part of our ongoing work to help children think about their futures, we are looking for parents and carers who would be willing to come into school to speak in assembly about their job.
We would love our pupils to hear about the wide range of careers that exist and the different skills people use every day. You might talk about what you do, what skills and qualifications are needed, and what a typical day looks like in your role.
By sharing your experience, you can help our children see the many different paths available to them and start thinking about how they can prepare for adult life.
If you would be interested in taking part, please contact the school office. We’d love to hear from you!
Please can we remind all parents and carers that the school gate opens at 8.50am, ready for school to start promptly at 8.55am. We kindly ask that parents or carers do not come into the school playground or building with their child/ren.
Teachers and support staff are generally not available in the mornings as they are settling the children straight into assembly – should you need to speak with an adult, please go directly to the school office and Miss Nifa will be more than happy to assist you in arranging a suitable time.
Thank you for your continued support in ensuring that all children come into school in a calm manner and ready for a day of learning.
We would like to remind all families that a late collection charge of £5 for every 5 minutes will be applied if a child is not collected promptly at the end of the school day or from after-school clubs.
Please ensure that you are collecting your child on time to avoid any additional charges.
We also kindly ask that you check your ParentPay account regularly and clear any outstanding balances as soon as possible.
