Wonderful Writing
Ajibare, from Year 5, has written a letter to his friends all about Autism.
We are all so proud of Ajibare and the progress he has made since joining our school.
He is a much loved member of our school community and we thank him for his bravery and honesty in writing this letter.

Oracy Day
We are so excited for this half term’s Oracy Day, where parents and carers are invited into class to be part of the pupils’ debate or presentation and to provide feedback for the children.
The event will be taking place on Friday 13th December and parents and carers are asked to arrive at the school office at 2.45, where they can sign in and be led up to the classrooms.
We look forward to seeing you then!
Year 4 Writing Sample
For our writing topic we were writing poems based of a scene in Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. We were describing the scenery and Oliver’s emotions.
Have a look at some of the writing that Kyla in Year 4 has created with lovely metaphors and similes.
Autumn approached like a sleeping bear,
The cool air stroked Oliver’s face like he was a soft cat,
Snow sprinkled over the flowers like it was a donut full of sprinkles,
The lantern glowed like a firefly,
Revealing a face like a devil.
He sat bolt right up with cool air down his spine,
His heart was thumping,
He began to tremble,
His eyes grew huge,
Oliver has never felt this terror before.
There was no doubt who this was,
His face was like a terrible face,
A dangerous street and destroyed room,
His hair was a fiery crimson,
With twisted lips and a sharp nose.
The cold air turned frozen,
The glowing candle was no longer smiling,
The darkness wrapped around the room,
Oliver knew his only fate was sealed.
Apollo Music Anniversary
A few students were invited to perform with Apollo Music and showcase their talent.
It was a really lovely evening and the children were a credit to themselves, their families and our school.
They were luckily to take a picture with Roderick Williams OBE, who is a British baritone and composer.
