17 Oct Spanish at SJSJ
This half term, Year 4 have been learning all about different types of weather in Spanish. They began by practising some simple phrases such as hace sol (it’s sunny), hace calor (it’s hot) and hace frío (it’s cold). Once they felt confident using these phrases, the children started to build on their knowledge by learning how to describe more complex weather conditions, including está lloviendo (it’s raining) and está tormentoso (it’s stormy). The class have enjoyed using songs, games and short dialogues to help them remember the new words and to practise their pronunciation. They have been working really hard on using accurate pronunciation, and are becoming fantastic Spanish speakers!
