14 Nov Reading At SJSJ
Over the last few weeks, the Reading Champions have been reviewing the outcomes of their recent questionnaire and it seems that some children in Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) would like to be reminded of our home reading expectations.
Please see the information below, and if you or your child have any queries about home reading then please speak to one of our Reading Champions or your child’s class teacher.
In Key Stage 2, it is expected that children read for a minimum of 20 minutes each night. A record of all home reading should be recorded in your child’s Reading Record, like so:

Home reading books and Reading Records should be brought to school daily to ensure that your child’s class teacher can keep an up-to-date record of their current reading levels.
