What’s happening in Year 4 – Week 6

In Computing this week, Year 4 combined creativity with technology by exploring coding through digital art. The children used simple programming commands to create colourful patterns, shapes and repeating designs, learning how sequences and loops can be used to produce eye-catching artwork.

This lesson helped pupils develop their problem-solving skills while encouraging creativity and experimentation. They showed great perseverance when debugging their code and were proud to see their instructions transform into unique pieces of digital art. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they realised that coding can be both imaginative and fun.
