What’s happening in Year 4 – Week 6

This week in Year 4, we learned how to convert between analogue and digital time. We began by recapping what a clock is and why we use it in our everyday lives. We discussed the difference between the hour hand and the minute hand and practised reading and telling the time on both analogue and digital clocks. We worked hard to spot patterns, compare different clock faces and use mathematical vocabulary to explain our thinking.

During the main activity, we completed a range of worksheets where we read the time on analogue clocks and carefully drew the hands to show different times. We showed fantastic focus, resilience and teamwork throughout the lesson, supporting one another and taking pride in our work. It was wonderful to see the excellent progress we made in telling and converting time accurately.
