06 Feb PSHE At SJSJ
This week in PSHE, as part of our Being Me in This World topic, Year 5 have been thinking about their future aspirations and exploring their dream jobs.
We began with a fun game of job charades, which encouraged the children to consider a wide range of careers while building confidence and teamwork skills. It was a fantastic way to spark discussion and get everyone engaged.
The children then carried out research into their chosen careers, looking at potential salaries, key responsibilities and the qualifications required. They showed great maturity and curiosity while developing their research skills.
To finish the lesson, each child created a “plan to success”, identifying the steps they would need to take to achieve their goals and the personal qualities that will help them along the way, such as resilience, leadership and teamwork.
It has been wonderful to see the children thinking ambitiously about their futures and recognising the importance of hard work and determination in achieving their dreams.
