13 Mar PSHE At SJSJ
This week in PSHE, Reception focused on the word “sorry.” We talked about what it means to say sorry and why it is important when we hurt someone’s feelings or make a mistake. The children shared ideas about times when we might need to say sorry and how it can help make things better again. We also practised how to say sorry in a kind and caring way, thinking about our words, our tone of voice, and our actions. The children enjoyed role-playing different situations and discussing how we can show kindness and empathy towards our friends. As part of our learning, we were introduced to the Makaton sign for “sorry.” The children practised using the sign alongside the word to help them communicate their feelings and show understanding.
