18 Dec Sports At SJSJ
It has been an outstanding week of sport at St John and St James, with our pupils representing the school with pride, determination and excellence across multiple competitions.
Last Friday, our athletics team competed in the Hackney Qualifiers, and the results were exceptional. Both our girls team and boys team finished top of the competition, with many pupils also achieving gold, silver and bronze medals in their individual events. This incredible achievement means that St John and St James will now represent Hackney at the London Youth Games, competing against schools from across the other London boroughs.

Then, on Tuesday, our Year 5 and Year 6 9 aside football team played their first league match of the season and made a superb start, securing a 5 to 2 victory against Gayhurst. The team showed excellent teamwork, resilience and confidence throughout the match. A special mention goes to Anny and Stephanie, who both made their school team debuts and performed brilliantly.
