09 May What’s happening in Reception – Week 3
Over the last two weeks, Reception have been lucky enough to be taking care of a brood of chicks! They arrived last Monday morning, and were safely cooped up in their incubator.
The children spent the first few hours observing the eggs and by lunch time they noticed that a few eggs had reached their pipping stage and were beginning the hatching process. Over the next few days, 6 eggs hatched and the class were very excited about watching them grow and getting to handle them.
This week, the chicks have been out and about during the school day and had lots of cuddles with the children – they will definitely be missed!
