What’s happening in Reception – Week 6

This week in Reception, we have continued our exciting topic on People Who Help Us. The children have been thoroughly engaged as they explored the important roles of community helpers, particularly focusing on firefighters and police officers.

One of the highlights of the week has imaginative play in our small world area. The children loved dressing up in firefighter and police officer uniforms, fully immersing themselves in their roles as they pretended to put out fires, help people in need, and keep everyone safe. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they acted out real-life scenarios, using new vocabulary and developing their understanding of the vital work these professionals do.
