What’s happening in Year 1 – Week 2

This half term in RE, Year 1 are learning all about the world faith, Judaism. Last week, Miss Kebbay launched the brand new unit of learning and the children spent some time exploring Jewish artefacts. They thought about what they are used for and why people might consider them to be special and also came up with some questions that they would like to find out the answers to. This week, they specifically thought about important symbols, like the Star of David, and discovered what they represent. The children then had a go at creating their own symbols that represent things that they think are important, like friends, family, playing and being happy.
