What’s happening in Year 1 – Week 3

This half term in PSHE, Year 1 are focusing on exploring their dreams and goals. They have been discussing Rights Respecting Article 29 –  a child or young person’s education should help their mind, body and talents be the best they can – and reflecting on how they can consider this when setting and working towards their goals. 

The children worked well in their partnerships to agree a shared goal and set out the steps to work towards it. They then worked together to design their own houses, thinking carefully about:

• How they could achieve their dream designs.
• Who would be the best person to do specific jobs in their house.
• What materials could be used in each of the rooms.
