What’s happening in Year 2 – Week 2

Last Monday the children enjoyed an amazing, jam packed day filled with exciting activities at a workshop near St. Paul’s Cathedral. The children learnt so much about the Great Fire of London, they actually remembered quite a lot as it was a topic we had previously looked at. They were told amazing stories about Sir Christopher Wren and tried out different props. They tried writing using a quill which was such an experience and then went on to build their own towers of the cathedral using wooden blocks. Later on we went on a historical walk and finally entered a beautiful, old church where the children got to try on clothes. A fab day was had by all!
