What’s happening in Year 3 – Week 5

This week in year 3, we had the pleasure of visiting a Forest School at Springfield Community primary school.  As part of our science topic on forces, we investigated how forces work in a natural environment.  We bused a toy truck and elastic bands to create our investigation.  We first used the toy cars to to see how far they would move on different types of surfaces.  We then used the elastic bands to create sling shots to see how far an object would go.  We also used the environment that we were in  to help us create the equipment we needed. The children all had a fantastic time, and are looking forward to their next Forest School lesson.
