27 Feb What’s happening in Year 4 – Week 1
This week in Year 4, we learned about what happened at the Last Supper and why it is still so important to Christians today. We explored how Jesus shared a special meal with his disciples and told them that one of them would betray him. Even though he knew this, we discussed how he chose to respond with love and forgiveness rather than anger. We reflected on why this message is so powerful for Christians.
We also discovered how the Last Supper is remembered in churches through Holy Communion, where bread represents Jesus’ body and wine represents his blood. To bring the story to life, we re-enacted the special meal, with some of us taking on the roles of Jesus and the disciples. This made our learning engaging and memorable, helping us understand why this event remains such an important part of Christian faith today.
