30 Jan What’s happening in Year 5 – Week 4
This week in Computing, Year 5 have continued their learning about video. We explored different forms of video, including documentaries, vlogs and news reports, and discussed the features that make each style effective.
The children experimented with a range of camera angles and shot types, such as close-up shots, long shots, mid-range shots and capturing moving images. They considered how different angles can create different effects and help to tell a story more clearly. We also analysed a variety of video examples and made thoughtful decisions about which camera shots would work best in different situations.
Year 5 are now working towards writing their own scripts and planning a video of their choice. They are showing great creativity and teamwork as they develop their ideas.
Below are some examples of Year 5 experimenting with different camera angles.
