What’s happening in Year 6 – Week 2

This week, Year 6 launched their new science unit, animals, including humans. They started by recapping all of what they already knew about animals including humans, from the previous years in their learning journey. |they were able to remember what animal groups and food groups were and how to identify the characteristics of these animals. They discussed the important oh heathy eating and diet for human DNA what the specific food groups were, and how this impacted human health. They also recapped the digestive system and what each organ does, as well as the names of the different type of teeth we have and what each of them is used for. Year 6 amazed us with their incredible knowledge on animals, including humans and also how to identify a science unit as a biology discipline. We are very excited to go deeper this term with more knowledge on how some of the vital organs inside our bodies work.
