What’s happening in Year 6 – Week 3

Over the last half term, Year 6 have been exploring the story of Macbeth, as retold by Andrew Matthews and illustrated by Tony Ross. The children have loved getting to know the characters of Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and King Duncan. In our next cycle of writing, they will be getting to know a lot more about Lady Macbeth; this information will be used to write a detailed character description. In this week’s immersion lesson, the children worked in groups to share and develop their initial ideas about her character – and what an evil, malicious woman they think she is.
