What’s happening in Year 6 – Week 7

This week, Year 6 visited the National Gallery, where they explored the impact of colours in paintings. The workshop was incredible, as the children analysed a range of paintings in the gallery, looking at tones, shades, complementary colours and also how the colours form figures and shapes. They each were able to interpret how the colours popped using a range of resources to create their own colour studies. It was an incredible session and the children really deepened their understanding of colours and how paint was made hundreds of years ago.
