What’s happening in Year 4 – Week 5

This week in Year 4, we have been conducting an investigation to see how egg shells react to different liquids after being left in the liquids over a period of time.

This relates to our science topic, where we are looking at our teeth and how this aids our digestive system. Eggshells are very similar to our teeth, since they have similar chemical components, making egg shells react as our teeth would. We have left four eggs in four different liquids; water, vinegar, coca cola and orange juice.

We will be observing how they change over time and recording our findings.
