What’s happening in Year 3 – Week 2

This week year 3 were extremely lucky to go to Brockwell park to visit an Avery. The children were very brave and excited to see the beehives. They consolidated their their science learning from last half term , where they were learning about plants. They also looked at plants they may not have seen growing in its early stages, such as a fig and walnut.

They were shown the queen be and were informed how the colony can create a new queen. The children looked like real beekeepers in their beekeeper suits.
