What’s happening in Reception – Week 2

This week in Reception, our highlight was visiting Hampstead Heath. We have begun working with and learning about maps, so we used maps to plan our route to the Heath. We then followed maps to the top of Parliament hill and through fields and woods. We spent the morning learning to identify different common trees from the UK including alder, oak, holly, ash and many others. The little legs of the class worked especially hard and they did over 10,000 steps through long grass, over bridges and under trees.
