What’s happening in Reception – Week 6

This week in Reception we built on our RE curriculum by visiting our local church Saint John of Hackney. We learned about how the church has changed over the years and played a game to help us understand why people go to church. We were shown special places in the church building like the ‘altar’ and ‘font’ and learned what these places are used for. We love knowing that the church is for all of us and that we are welcome anytime.
