26 Sep What’s happening in Year 6 – Week 4
This week, Year 6 had the pleasure of visiting the London Museum Docklands. To support their history studies, they took part in a workshop that focused on ‘The Blitz’, which started on a day called ‘Black Saturday’, when the Nazi’s flooded the docks of London with bombs during World War 2. They analysed some primary and secondary sources from the eye witness account of a man called Ben. He was only 5 when this happened and had to be evacuated from his family. They also explored the museum and learnt so much more about England’s role during WW 2 and the impact this had on the citizens of the country as well as the world!
