Values At SJSJ

This week in our Values lesson, Reception focused on the important value of Caring. We explored what it means to be caring and discussed the many ways we can show kindness, thoughtfulness, and consideration towards the people around us. The children shared wonderful ideas about how they care for their friends, families, and members of our school community, such as helping others, using kind words, sharing resources, and including everyone in their play.
As part of our learning, we also introduced the Makaton sign for “to care for.” The children enjoyed learning and practising the sign together, using it to communicate positive messages of kindness and support.
