This week in Spanish, Year 3 continued to learn about ‘las macostas’ (pets). They began to combine their new knowledge with some prior knowledge of ‘los colores’ (colours) to write simple sentences to describe images of different pets. The children focused on ensuring that they used the correct noun and adjective order to meet the grammar rules of the Spanish language. In English, we most often use adjectives to describe a noun, for example, the green (A) table (N), however in Spanish the order is reversed, por ejemplo, la mesa (N) de verde (A).
