Spanish at SJSJ

Key words/phrases for this half term are:

Week 1 –   ¿Puedo conseguir un poco de agua? Can I get some water?

Week 2 –    ¿Puedo ir al baño, por favor? Can I use the bathroom, please?

Week 3 –    Necesito ayudo, por favor. I need help, please.

Week 4 –    ¿Te gustaría jugar? Would you like to play?

Week 5 –   ¿Cómo estuvo su fin de semana? How was your weekend?

Week 6 –  ¿Qué tiempo hace hay? What is the weather like?

To kick start our Spanish lessons in Key Stage 2, the children have all been introduced to a new unit of learning.

In Year 3, the children are learning all about ‘las partes de la cara y el cuerpo’ (the parts of the face and body), which they will use to design and describe their very own monster!

In Year 4, the will be combining their Spanish learning with prior art knowledge and learning all about the lives and works of famous Spanish artists, including Frida Kahlo and Pablo Picasso.

In Year 5, the children will be revisiting their prior learning of hobbies and interests, to follow along with a story about Raúl the time travelling rat, who lives in Madrid.
