25 Feb What’s been happening in Year 6 – Week 1
Year 6 have been putting together all of the work they have done around tenses in Key Stage Two in their grammar lessons this week! It is very tricky to know the difference between the tenses used in our spoken and written language, so we decided to make a timeline of tenses in our classroom, which is divided up into the past, present and future and the individual tenses that belong in each of those. For example, the present progressive is a form of the present tense, as well as the simple present and the present perfect. Then, whenever we came across a sentence in a specific tense, we added it to our timeline. Now we can refer to this throughout our writing and grammar lessons to support us with our understanding of different tenses. It’s definitely not easy, but Year 6’s resilience and determination really showed in our lessons this week. Well done Year 6!
