What’s happening in Reception – Week 2

This week in Reception we began our topic of minibeasts with inspiration from Green Week. We have been learning about recycling and the problem of plastic pollution in our world. We decided to turn old items into our own recycled minibeasts using only materials that were going to be thrown away. This included recycling from our own homes and items from the Hackney Scrap Project. The children carefully planned the resources they would need, how they would be joined and all improved their models over the week.
