What’s happening in Reception – Week 5

This week in Reception our highlight was definitely visiting Woodberry Wetlands!

We had beautiful weather to walk around this nature reserve. We saw many different kinds of birds and minibeasts. We even saw a swan on its nest with newly hatched signets. We also saw a coots nest, ducklings and lots of slugs (the favourite discoveries!).

We had a picnic together in the grass afterwards, enjoying a rest in nature. Connected to our RE subject of plastic pollution, we were also saddened to see some of the plastic pollution in the canal and walkways.
