What’s happening in Year 1 – Week 4

This week our highlight in Year 1 was visiting the Hackney School of Food. This connected with our STEAM project this half term about food preparation. Many children have never used the tools like graters, peeler, and knives and it was inspiring to see them independently prepare some delicious food! The children made from scratch their own cheesy spinach drop scones and rainbow coleslaw. We look forward to applying these new skills to our STEAM project next week of making fruit kebabs!
