What’s happening in Year 4 – Week 6

This week in Year 4 we have begun our Black History Month learning in History. We have been refreshing our mind as to why we learn about Black History and how this has affected
the world we live in today. In one of our history lessons we used atlases to deepen our knowledge about colonisation and which countries had power others.

We spoke about why countries would want to colonise others and how most countries did it for the power and control over others. This knowledge will link into our trip next Wednesday to the Hackney Museum where we will have a workshop about Black History Month and the history of the Hackney carnival.
