What’s happening in Year 5 – Week 1

In further celebration of Black History Month, Year 5 visited Hackney Museum’s “Our Words: Stories from African Communities in Hackney” exhibition. We discovered items such as traditional dress from across Africa and learnt some key words in Swahili and Lingala. We then wrote poems and performances inspired by the real-life stories that were shared with us.
