What’s happening in Year 5 – Week 3

In their music lessons with Ms Barret this term, Year 5 composed and performed a piece of music to accompany the story of ‘Bartholomew and the Bug’. To recognise their hard work and talent, they were invited to perform their piece on stage at the Barbican with the London Symphony Orchestra.

 

It was ‘Refugee Week’ this week, so Year 5 visited an exhibition at Hackney Museum to learn about the lives of refugees living in Hackney. We had the pleasure of meeting Linh, a refugee from Vietnam who arrived in Hackney in the 1970s, and were able to ask her questions about her experience.
