This term, Year 5 have been writing diary entries based on our key writing text Warrior Boy by Virginia Clay. The diary entries are written from the perspective of Ben, the main character, who is travelling to Kenya for the first time to meet his father’s family. Below are extracts taken from the children’s writing:
The pilot warned us that it was going to be bumpy. He could say that again. The turbulence made my tummy flip and I held Mum’s hand, as I was slammed into the window.
