What’s happening in Year 5 – Week 6

Year 5 have really enjoyed learning about World Religions this year. We brought our knowledge of Christianity, Sikhism and Islam together to carry out our debate: Is Wisdom Important? The proposition argued that the Bible, Guru Granth Sahib and Quran all teach that wisdom is a gift from God and should be valued more than material wealth. However, the opposition argued that following the commandments does not require wisdom and that other aspects of our lives, such as our family, mattered more to us. Both sides articulated themselves brilliantly and the audience was split on which side convinced them most.
