What’s happening in Year 5 – Week 6

As part of our geography topic, Year 5 participated in field work to investigate a local river. We went to the River Lea and compared and contrasted it with the other river we have studied in class: The Yangtze River in China.

We used compasses to determine the direction the river was flowing, therefore identifying the location of the source and mouth. We also measured the speed the river was flowing and discussed the uses of the River Lea today.
