What’s happening in Year 6 – Week 2

To celebrate our first ever PTA Green Week as St John and St James, Year 6 took part in an eco-active workshop, looking at the amount of rubbish that is produced worldwide and the impact that it has on our planet. The children then looked at the ways that we can promote sustainability through the 6 R’s:

• Rethink
• Refuse
• Reduce
• Reuse
• Recycle
• Repair

After looking at different ways that these have been applied in real life, we then used recyclable cardboard, from juice and milk cartons, to make our own wallets.
