What’s happening in Year 6 – Week 3

In RE, we explored how the Early Church protected the Christian message by learning about the Apostles’ Creed. We discussed what could happen to a message passed down by many people over time and why Christians decided it was important to write down their beliefs. We learnt that a creed is a statement of belief and thought about why it was necessary for the Church to have one.

In groups, we answered questions about the Apostles’ Creed, identifying examples that show Jesus was both human and divine, and discussed other beliefs it contains. We presented our ideas to the class and reflected on how the creed helped protect and unify Christian beliefs over many centuries. Have a look at our presentations below!
