What’s happening in Year 6 – Week 4

This week in science, Year 6 used their observational skills to find out about the effects created by different mirrors. The children used a range primary and secondary sources to find out about different mirrors and discovered that there are 3 types of mirror:

– a plane mirror, which reflects images as they actually appear in real life

– a concave mirror, which makes images appear larger and flips them upside down until they are really close

– a convex mirror, which makes images appear smaller than real life and gives a wider field of vision
