What’s happening in Year 1 – Week 1

Year 1 have been introduced to their new RE topic this week. Our Big Question this half term is What does it mean to be a Muslim? The children loved looking at pictures and artefacts related to Islam. They discussed the names of common artefacts used in Islam and explored real-life artefacts. The pictures and artefacts we looked at raised lots of questions, so the children had a go at writing their question in a thought bubble to be included in our floor book. They are very excited to learn more about this topic and have their questions answered!
