23 Nov Year 6, A2, Week 3
Year 6 have been working really hard on their geography lessons and are really enjoying finding out about Indonesia, which links to their learning about tsunamis. This week, they looked at the physical geography of Indonesia and made comparisons with the UK. They used relief maps to analyse the terrain in both locations.
They noticed that Indonesia has a lot of mountainous terrain, as well as forests and rainforests. They then analysed the climate over a year in Indonesia and made their own conclusions about the weather patterns in the country. Knowing that the country sits on the equator, they knew the weather would be consistently hot, but then noticed that precipitation levels are also high all year round, making it a tropical climate
Miss Bienias is as always, incredibly impressed with the way the class present their work and take pride over everything they do. A huge well done Year 6!
